Eye Makeup Tips for Bigger, Brighter Eyes
Often eye makeup tips put too heavy a focus on glamour. I know, hard to imagine. How on earth could you be too glamorous? But sometimes with eye makeup, less is more. You can’t wear that club smoky eye look to work. Or, you probably shouldn’t.
Of course this does not mean that your eye makeup has to be boring. You can get many of the same effects with less makeup for everyday wear. In fact these looks can save you major minutes. This tip let me cut more than 6 minutes off my eye makeup application time.
One of the biggest things that people want to accomplish with eye makeup is to accentuate their eyes. Making your eyes look larger is the best route to go when using every day makeup. You can use this eye makeup tip to get bigger-looking eyes that do not look made up.
You will need a light eye shadow and a darker one. The shades of eye makeup should complement your skin tones. They can be reflective if you like but should not have large particles of glitter. Using Loreal’s “Wear Infinite” Holographic line works well.
1. Apply the light eye shadow in smooth motions up to your brow. This will give you a smooth skin tone and brighten your eye area.
2. Make a smudgy line using the darker eye shadow in the crease of your eye. You are basically going to draw a thick semi-circle over your eye. The darker tone will make your eyes look brighter and wider when your eyes are open.
At this point you are all done. Enjoy your new, brighter look. You can also dress up this look with a blue or purple semi circle and a pink back tone. You might also try different tones on the lid below the semi circle. Bright color lines on the eyelid make this look pop even more. Use these eye makeup tips to make your eyes look huge and amazing.
