How To Get Perfect Holiday Skin

If there’s anything that gets us excited for the summer, it’s the thought of chilling on the beach. After a long winter of being wrapped up warm, soon we will all be swapping our baggy clothes for swimsuits.

However, before you can fully bare all and show that skin to the rest of the world, you need to make sure it is as healthy and beautiful as it can be.

We’ve put together an easy list of tips to help you bare-it-all with your skin in the best condition that it ever has been.

1. Exfoliate! Your best bet for smooth, young, glowing skin is to revive your tired skin that’s covering you from head to toe by exfoliation. The best favor you can do for your skin is to exfoliate thoroughly before heading out as exfoliation removes the old skin layer and exposes the new one. Whether you choose to go home-made or right off the shelf, just remember to scrub gently so you don’t unnecessarily irritate your most prized summer possession, perhaps second only to your wash board stomach.

2. Cleanse! Bacteria and other organisms love your skin just as much as you do, especially if you don’t scrub frequently enough. Combine together a lot of other factors like toxins, oil, dead skin cells, sweat and many more, will most likely damage your skin. Rinsing your face with soap & water or commercial products manufactured to rid your face of unwanted dirt, dead skin cells and oils will do a lot in ensuring that you keep yourself free from all those skin afflictions.

3. Moisturize! Nobody wants dry skin and the sun & sea certainly won’t do your skin any favors if it is already dehydrated. Make sure you moisturize to keep your skin hydrated – constant exposure to the hot summer sun strips your skin of moisture causing it to peel and itch. Don’t shortchange yourself when deciding on moisturizing options; get good products off-the-shelf, especially those with natural aloe extracts that will relieve your skin and moisturize it enough to prevent the onset of skin damage. Drinking bottles of water will improve the condition of your skin by hydrating your body from the inside.

4. Sun Cream! During the hot summer months, the sun’s UV rays are at their peak and excessive exposure to UV radiation can be fatal if it causes skin cancer. Use a product with a rating not less than SPF 30 to protect your skin from UV rays. Likewise, remember that not all products are water-proof and some easily wash off when you get wet so be careful to re-apply once you start sweating or when you get out of the water. Other skin conditions can also be limited by wearing a high factor SPF including pigmentation & premature aging.

So there you go, 4 easy to follow steps to get your skin in tip top condition for the summer. There is no better protection for your skin that to pay close attention to any changes and to remedy potential problems long before they develop into something worse.

So get out this summer and strut your stuff; let the parties begin!
