Making Sure Your Hands Don’t Age You
Every woman knows that no matter how good the face and body looks, your hands will almost always give your age away and make you look weathered if they are not looked after well. Most people however are clueless about hand care and not only mistreat them but do not take steps to repair them if they are damaged. Here is some of the best advice possible for maintaining your hand’s youth.
Moisturiser. This simple technique is the most effective of all, and yet not enough people do it right. You need to be using a moisturiser that is suitable for your skin type. If you have oily skin then use subtle skin care products, and if you skin tends to dry, you’ll want a rich one. You need to moisturise more than you probably realise as well. When you come out of the cold, before sleep, when you wake etc. If you moisturisation is consistent and maintained, you can half the speed at which you hands visually age
Hands need protection. When you hands get in the wars and pick up little bits of damage, they age a little bit each time and with every scar. If you can have a pair of gloves on as often as possible then this will go a long way to keep them safe, especially during cleaning and washing chores. There are a whole host of chemicals that are harmful to the skin in cleaning products and if you can keep these away from skin, it’ll thank you for it.
Manicures. Treating yourself to a manicure can very easily jazz up your hands and get them looking fresh again. If your nails and cuticles have not been looked after then they quickly make you look old and run down. Manicures that include hand massage are even better as these loosen up the bones and muscles, break down and fatty deposits and tone the skin at the same time.
