Spray Suntan

If in the past dark or brown skin was considered a sign of commonness and hard work in the fields, and only white skin could speak of nobility, presently, everybody feels great wearing a nice tan. Tanning is fashionable, but sun exposure is no longer safe. Even so, the cosmetic industry has come up with solutions to make people with their fashionable statement: tanning booths, spray suntan, tanning pills, tanning beds and tanning lotions. The application of spray suntan requires the use of special equipment. Let’s see how this artificial tanning works and what the specificity of the method is.

Lotions, pills and creams are considered inferior to spray suntan. First of all, it is safe and harmless for one’s health. Spray suntan products contain a combination of moisturizing agents and non-toxic bronzers that react with the amino acids in the skin. The cellular structures remain unaffected, and thus skin health is preserved. Spray suntan wears off in less than ten days. Although the results are very similar between spray suntan and creams or lotions, the latter are more difficult to apply in such a way so as to achieve an even look.

And because of the faulty coverage you may experience streaks or stains, as well as an unpleasant skin color. Spray suntan works as the basic element for the use of tanning machines and other modern devices. Booths have in fact totally replaced tanning beds because of the health risks associated with the exposure to the action of the ultraviolets. The tan color can be maintained only by regular visits to the salon and constant spraying a new layer of tan. A post treatment moisturizer could also be used to prevent the tan from wearing off.

There are several types of DHA solutions available, some of them are clear and others colored. With bronzers the coloring is immediate and the skin gets the tanned glow as soon as the bronzer dries. DHA solutions need a few hours to act, but the effects are longer lasting and more natural in look. A fair warning here is caution with skin dryness: dry skin could get drier if exposed to the action of a spray suntan. However, the best person to clarify all your questions and problems is a dermatologist, and he/she will know what to advise.
