Most consumers look to anti aging cosmetics with the hope of them actually looking better in the mirror.  What most of them find out however is that wrinkle creams do not work instantly and that without continued, and prolonged use, very few creams and serums will actually translate to younger looking skin within the mirror.  While most wrinkle creams will reduce wrinkles and improve the skin, it may take longer than expected to show the level of results that consumers desire.  The author examines consumers expectations of wrinkle creams, and how they can approach wrinkle treatment differently to achieve visible results.

A wrinkle is nothing more than a wound to your skin.  This means that skin cells must grow and fill in the wound (or wrinkle) much like it would fill in and cover a cut or scrape to the skin.  But because the wound is not open to infection and is not an immediate concern to the overall health of the body, your body does not naturally heal these wrinkles completely, unless they get the right kind of help.  This help comes in the forms of high powered peptides that act as active ingredients in wrinkle creams.

Consumers often expect to apply wrinkle creams and within in a week or so to have no more signs of aging, or deep set wrinkles.  Well that is just a fool hardy way to approach wrinkle treatment.  When you treat a wrinkle topically, the rate at which the ingredients are absorbed into the skin, and the concentration of the active ingredients to do so are the most important aspects of a wrinkle cream.  This means that the actual formulation of the creams and serums is just as important as the active ingredients to include.

1. First off, do make sure your stylist is someone you feel comfortable with. If it's a first time visit take the time to talk about your hair; its texture and characteristics, your lifestyle; how much time you spend in front of the mirror, and the look you want. A good approach is to think of the experience as a mini-spa luxury treat, not as if it's like a trip to the dentist.

2.Do invest in the styling and hair care products your stylist recommends. You want sexy hair? Then perhaps you need a styling creme or a volumizer, and you can't try all of them out there yourself. Take the advice of the professionals who can show you, on your own hair, how to use the products.

3. Do bring a picture. Pictures are good as long as you are realistic about your hair. Don't ask for Demi Moore's latest look if you have natural curl or.

4. Do let your stylist do what she does well. Once you feel you have agreed upon the haircut you want, relax and trust. This can do wonders for inspiring the best work from her.

5. Do pay attention. If she isn't getting the top short enough, say something now. It's better to catch it early, rather than at the end of the cut. A confident stylist will welcome the direction.

Here are a couple of “Don't” things to think about:

1. Don't be in a rush to get a style change the first visit. Take one or two appointments to develop trust. Then go for it.

2. Don't be late. Respect the relationship. How would you feel about doing business with someone who is often late and who hates spending money on extras? Keep the relationship clean and mutually supportive and you will get the most out of the service.

There is a saying “you are what you eat” and this is true. If you are aware of what you are feeding your body and make a conscious effort to put what makes it work and grow better then it will. Foods such as fish oil and raw nuts if eaten every day will make a difference in the hair no matter where on your body including your head and eyes
